Rental Terms

1. Who can rent

Renters must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young-driver fee. Only drivers listed on the rental may operate the vehicle.

2. Booking & payment

A $100 refundable security deposit is paid online to book your dates. The full trip total (nightly rate plus any add-ons) is due at checkout, when the vehicle is returned.

As part of booking, every renter also reads and electronically signs our Rental Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Release of Liability (available on the Waiver page of this website), and provides the delivery address where we bring the van.

The security deposit is returned after checkout provided the vehicle is returned clean, on time, with no damage beyond normal wear. Costs for excess cleaning, damage, missing equipment, smoking, or late return may be deducted from the deposit; you remain responsible for amounts exceeding it.

3. Cancellation policy

Full refund of the security deposit for cancellations made 7 or more days before pickup.

50% refund for cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours before pickup.

No refund for cancellations within 48 hours of pickup or for no-shows.

4. Mileage & use

Each rental day includes 200 free miles; additional miles are $0.25 each.

The vehicle may be driven on paved public roads in California. Off-road driving, racing, towing, and subleasing are prohibited. Smoking (including vaping) is prohibited in the vehicle.

Overnight parking and camping must comply with local laws and posted rules. The renter is responsible for all parking, camping, toll, and traffic penalties incurred during the rental.

5. Pets

Well-behaved pets are welcome at no extra charge. We simply ask that the vehicle is returned in good, clean condition; excess pet hair or damage may be deducted from the security deposit.

6. Insurance & liability

Basic liability coverage is included with every rental. The renter's personal auto policy and/or credit-card coverage may apply as primary for physical damage — confirm with your provider before your trip.

The renter is responsible for the vehicle from pickup until checkout, and agrees to report any accident, damage, or mechanical issue to us immediately.

7. Our responsibilities

We provide the vehicle clean, mechanically inspected, fueled per the pickup agreement, and equipped as described on the website. If a mechanical failure not caused by the renter prevents your trip, we will offer a replacement date or a full refund of amounts paid.
